Trailisse is an independent travel agency and ticket agent. We arrange flights for travellers in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom, and we run guided tours across Rajasthan and northern India from our own office in Udaipur.

What we are, plainly

We are a travel agency. We are not an airline, not a comparison site, and not affiliated with any carrier. When you book through us we act as your agent in arranging travel with the airline that actually operates the flight, and we earn a service fee for doing it. That fee is inside the single total price we quote you, before you agree to anything.

Our office is at N.H. 8, Amberi, Udaipur, Rajasthan 313004, India, and the business is registered under GSTIN 08ABAFT1036C1ZP. Our US telephone line is answered by our own team in that office rather than by an outsourced call centre. Plenty of sites in this business hide where they are. We would rather tell you, because it is the honest answer to the reasonable question of why somebody picks up at three in the morning.

Where we came from

Trailisse began as a Rajasthan tour operator. That business still runs: drivers, guides and itineraries through Jaipur, Udaipur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Pushkar and the Delhi–Agra–Jaipur circuit, arranged from the same office. It is why there is a GSTIN on this page and a physical address in the footer of every page on this site.

The flight desk grew out of it. Handling tour clients' international and onward domestic flights taught us that the hard part of air travel is almost never the simple booking. It is the group of fourteen, the misspelled surname on an issued ticket, the wheelchair request that never made it onto the reservation, the cancelled connection at an hour when nobody is answering. That is the work we took on properly, and it is what this site is about.

How we make money, and why that matters to you

We are paid a service fee on the tickets we issue. We think you should know that, because it tells you how to read our advice. It is also why you will find us saying, on several pages of this site, that you should book it yourself. If your trip is one person, one route, one date and no complications, a booking site will do it faster and cheaper than we will, and we would rather tell you that than take a fee for adding nothing.

What we will not do

• We do not publish fares. Airfares change constantly and depend on your exact dates and availability. US Department of Transportation rules require a ticket agent to advertise the full price including all taxes and mandatory charges, so rather than print a headline number that will not survive your itinerary, we quote you directly.
• We do not claim to be an airline, or to speak for one. Airline names appear on this site to identify carriers and nothing more. Every airline page we write links to that airline's own site so you can book direct if you would rather.
• We do not publish reviews we cannot evidence. There are no star ratings, review counts or testimonials on this site. When we have a verifiable, independently collected set of reviews, we will show those and say where they came from.
• We do not invent credentials. Where a page states a rule, a fee or a deadline, it links to the primary source and carries the date we last checked it.

Getting things wrong

Airline policies change without much warning, and pages on this site will go out of date between reviews. If you find something here that is wrong, tell us at info@trailisse.com and we will correct it and re-date the page. Our editorial policy explains how we research and maintain this material.
